【Event Report】 Spaceseed Technology Forum 2025 Successfully Held
Proposing a New Survival Strategy for Humanity — Integrating Earth and Space for a Sustainable Future
On March 27, 2025, Space Seed Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kengo Suzuki) hosted the Spaceseed Technology Forum 2025 at Sadanotsuji Square (10th floor of the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center).
This forum was organized to share the outcomes of technological development efforts that have been underway since the company's founding in January 2024, and to serve as a platform for open discussion on sustainable futures.

"Well-being Through Fermentation Technologies in ASEAN"
Speaker: Kengo Suzuki (CEO, Tsunan Sake Brewery Inc.)
Mr. Suzuki introduced initiatives to promote regional revitalization and health using fermentation technologies, inspired by the natural cyclic systems found in the snowy region of Tsunan. He also shared the vision of positioning Tsunan as a global demonstration site for the circular economy.


"The Potential of Longevity Technologies Using Nanoparticles"
Speaker: Zentaro Sakuma (CEO, Regenesome Inc.)
Mr. Sakuma explained the aging control potential of nanoparticles such as exosomes. He discussed social implementation in medical and food sectors, highlighting their project to identify the functional components of sake-derived nanoparticles, which they call SAKESOME.

"Frontier Engineering to Shape the Future"
Speaker: Ryuto Fukuda (ASEAN Fund Manager, Space Seed Holdings Inc.)
Mr. Fukuda introduced deep-tech startup initiatives in the ASEAN region, including technologies combining drones and image processing for sustainable land use, and next-generation high-pressure SPS (Spark Plasma Sintering) systems.

Experts from different fields exchanged ideas on technologies and systems required to achieve a sustainable future. Emphasis was placed on Tsunan's role as a testbed and its potential to contribute globally in terms of environmental sustainability and human health.

Shared insights based on his travels to over 30 countries and highlighted Tsunan's unique environment, such as snow and natural cycles, as globally competitive assets. Discussed potential for creating “related populations” through these assets.
Knowledge Discovery and AI Utilization
Kento Hatase (CEO, MEMORY LAB, Inc.)
Introduced natural language processing tools for identifying research trends from literature. Noted potential for fermentation technologies to impact wellness, medicine, and environmental fields.
Immunity and Food Connections
Takahiro Adachi (Associate Professor, Tokyo University of Science)
Shared consortium research findings linking rice varieties to gut health and immune markers such as CD69/CD86. He also discussed the immunological benefits of sake provided by Tsunan Sake Brewery compared to white rice.
Cell Culture Technologies in Space
Toshirou Maekawa (Lead Researcher, Takasago Electric, Inc.)
Reported on current developments in space-compatible cell culture systems in collaboration with JAXA. Introduced a crowdfunding initiative aimed at conducting sake brewing experiments aboard the ISS.
