About Space Seed Holdings
Space Seed Holdings Inc. is a space-focused deep-tech venture builder, solving social challenges through the development and integration of new technologies.
Mission
Space Seed Holdings Inc. is a space-focused deep-tech venture builder under the mission “From science fiction to nonfiction.” We create value by implementing new technologies into society and building them into a viable business.
We develop two core technologies in-house:
- ① Space Agent — an AI/LLM-powered autonomous experiment-automation platform for space-utilisation research.
- ② Seed Materials Informatics — cross-cutting informatics that organises development results as “seed materials” (technology seeds) into a form easy to verify and propose, developed along both a materials (sintering) axis and a bio axis.
Building on these core technologies, and operating the Fermentation and Longevity Fund that invests in and incubates research seeds, we work with stakeholders on numerous projects to address social challenges across fields such as fermentation, medicine and advanced materials.
A message from our representative
When I first succeeded in the outdoor mass cultivation of the microalga Euglena in 2005, the only application I imagined was food. Nearly two decades later, research into algae and microbes is no longer about Earth alone — it begins to connect to the question of how humanity might survive away from Earth.
Space Seed Holdings carries a single mission: to take science fiction into nonfiction. With fermentation and medicine as our primary fields, our work is to convert research into implementation. We do not operate launch vehicles, nor do we run crewed spacecraft. What we organise, instead, is the accumulation of small advances that happen in laboratories.
Looking towards 2040, our intention is to make sure the technologies humans will need to live in space are ready.
