Kengo Suzuki Speaks on “The New Shape of Healthcare Created by Rejuvenation” at esse-sense Future Forum 2026

Space Seed Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Kengo Suzuki; “the Company”) announces that Kengo Suzuki spoke, as Representative Director and CEO of its subsidiary Regenesome Inc., at the session “The New Shape of Healthcare Created by Rejuvenation” at esse-sense Future Forum 2026 (organized by esse-sense Inc.; co-organized by the NPO Miratuku), held at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
esse-sense Future Forum is an invitation-only conference where researchers from universities and research institutions meet business leaders, investors, government and startups directly, with the aim of turning research knowledge into new industries. The 2026 edition was held over two days under the theme “Encounters with the Future: An Orchestration of Knowledge to Realize Industry Creation,” with morning keynotes and panels followed by 24 breakout sessions in five rooms in the afternoon. Suzuki’s session was part of the “Deep Science” track on advanced science.
Starting from the present, in which “rejuvenation”—long confined to science fiction—is blossoming as technology in the 21st century, the session asked what new industries rejuvenation creates as it dissolves the boundary between healthcare and beauty, and what changes in industrial structure lie beyond. The discussion covered the frontiers of rejuvenation research—senescent-cell removal, drug-delivery technologies and measuring biological age—as well as the paths to industrialization suggested by XPRIZE Healthspan and Shiseido’s Beauty Park, and even mental well-being.
Suzuki introduced the longevity-related technologies Regenesome is working on and described the Company’s vision of extending aging research from the ground to space.
Session overview

- Format: panel discussion
- Speakers (in no particular order): Yosuke Tojo, Corporate Officer, Chief Innovation Officer and Global Technology Officer, Shiseido Co., Ltd.; Kengo Suzuki, Representative Director and CEO, Regenesome Inc.; Jun Sudo, Founder and CEO, S-CUBED Consulting / XPRIZE Visioneer
- Moderator: Eriko Matsuo, Director, Chewing News Inc. / freelance announcer
Key initiatives Kengo Suzuki introduced
1. Delivering the ingredients you want to work—without degrading them or irritating the skin: Bicelle × retinol

Retinol (vitamin A) is known as a promising ingredient for age care, but its use has been limited because it is easily degraded by light and heat and is irritating to the skin. Regenesome is developing technology that addresses this by holding retinol in “Bicelles,” tiny particles made of lipids, and aims to put it to practical use in skincare and other healthcare fields.
2. Measuring biological age from saliva: an epigenetic clock

Confirming the effects of rejuvenation requires a yardstick for “biological age”—the state of the body rather than chronological age. Regenesome is developing an epigenetic clock that estimates age from DNA methylation, measured from saliva rather than blood. As a yardstick that places little burden on sampling and can be measured repeatedly in daily life, it is intended to make rejuvenation “measurable.”
3. Designing particles and formulations with AI: BioMI

BioMI, a proprietary design platform combining biology and materials informatics, uses AI to rapidly narrow down promising candidates from vast combinations of materials and compositions. Regenesome uses BioMI to design and improve particles and is building a system to verify candidates in cell assays.
4. From the ground to space: autonomous experiments with SpaceAgent

In space, microgravity and space radiation are known to cause aging-like changes in the body within a short period. Using SpaceAgent—an LLM-based experiment-automation platform that can conduct research autonomously both in space and on the ground, whose R&D is the Company’s core business—the aim is for an autonomous experiment agent in orbit to verify the effects of rejuvenation technologies.
Comment

“Until very recently, rejuvenation was a word from science fiction. Now it is becoming a technology that can be measured, delivered and verified. In today’s session, I was greatly stimulated to discuss, with people working right where the boundary between beauty and healthcare is dissolving, what industries will be born beyond it. We will connect technology that delivers ingredients, a yardstick that measures youthfulness, and AI that finds candidates, and go as far as using the special experimental environment of space to make rejuvenation a certainty. When humankind lives in space in 2040, aging will be a challenge we must face. Together with our partners, we will build technologies that reach both healthy longevity on the ground and life in space.”
—Kengo Suzuki, Representative Director and CEO, Regenesome Inc.
Next steps
With “space × medicine” as one of its pillars, the Company is working through Regenesome to elucidate and address the root causes of aging. Building on the perspective discussed in the session—that rejuvenation technologies create new industries across the boundary between healthcare and beauty—the Company will advance the practical application of Regenesome’s technologies and, by building a verification platform in space with SpaceAgent, contribute to extending healthy life expectancy both on the ground and in space.
