Space Seed Holdings Ltd, in collaboration with IDDK Co., Ltd, will host a Space Bio Workshop on August 16, 2024 at University of Technology Malaysia. The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to gain insights into space fermentation technology through a series of sessions and workshops with local students.
The issue of sustainable food in space has been a longstanding challenge, and space fermentation technology is attracting significant attention as a potential breakthrough solution. IDDK possesses unique microscopic observation technology that is extremely useful for space fermentation research, which event participants will have the opportunity to experience first-hand.
The objective of this event is to enhance comprehension of space fermentation and its significance.

Space Seed Holdings Ltd. CEO Kengo Suzuki
He co-founded Euglena in 2005 while studying for a master's degree at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences; he received his PhD (Agriculture) degree in 2016 and his PhD (Medicine) degree in 2019. In addition to being the representative director of Space Seed Holdings Ltd, he is a team leader at RIKEN and Visiting Professor at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology at University of Technology Malaysia, where he is responsible for the company's research and development.
IDDK Co., Ltd. Co-CEO and CFO 吉岡康平
He is Co-CEO and CFO of IDDK Co., Ltd., a Japanese company with its cutting-edge microscopic observation technology, Micro Imaging Device. As Co-CEO and CFO, he is mainly responsible for financial management as well as the business strategy and the development of space bio experiment business. He also has been involved extensively in customer development and international marketing as well as establishing the company’s internal management, including finance and accounting, human resources, and general affairs.
